Philip Drucker, Ph.D.

Director of MS program in Neuroscience

Professor Drucker has been a professor in the psychology department since 1993. Over the course of his academic career, he has worked on a variety of different research projects including assessing hemi-neglect in stroke patients, the effects of substance abuse on patients and families, analysis of children’s drawings in play therapy, the impact of hopefulness on depression and anxiety and psycholinguistic analysis. He became director of the MS neuroscience program, in 2023 and since that time he has worked to strengthen the program by ensuring that the program’s coursework reflects current trends in neuroscience research and methods, facilitating opportunities for students to engage in lab research, provide academic advising and thesis support and ensures policies and practices that foster an supportive environment for students to learn.
