How to Apply

We’re thrilled that you’re considering the Master of Science in Neuroscience program at St. John’s University. Our students come from a range of scientific, clinical, and behavioral disciplines — united by a shared passion for exploring how the brain gives rise to thought, emotion, and behavior. On this page, you’ll find everything you need to complete your application, including eligibility criteria, required materials, key deadlines, and submission details. Our goal is to make your path to graduate study as clear and supportive as possible.

  • Applicants should demonstrate strong academic preparation and an interest in
    neuroscience or related fields.

  • To be eligible for admission, applicants must have:

    • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (in neuroscience, psychology, biology,
chemistry, communication sciences, or a related field).

    • A minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required.

    • At least two semesters of undergraduate Biology w/Lab, with a GPA grade of B or higher.

    • Research experience or laboratory training (certainly a plus but not required).

  • If your undergraduate background is in a different discipline, you are still encouraged to
apply — applicants with strong motivation and evidence of scientific curiosity are
    considered on an individual basis.
